ברוך הבא בשם יהוה

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!

THIS WEEK’S BIBLE STUDY IS ON:

  1. WHAT I NEED TO DO – and NEED NOT TO DO – TO BE SAVED

(Ways to tell if you are saved – by what you do and if you believe in Yeshua!)

There is only ONE thing that you can do to get to Heaven – Believe in your heart and profess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, and thou shalt be saved (Romans 10:9), but there is much more that goes into getting to Heaven, as you will see.

We cannot work our way into Heaven, buy our way, have someone pray for us, pay for us, or even baptize for us; it is our relationship with God alone that gets us to Heaven.

When we sin, and we all do, we must repent – תשובה – t’shuvah. This means that we must turn back to God and away from our sins.

IF WE ARE TRULY SAVED, we will not continue in our sin. When we do sin, we ask for forgiveness, and we try very hard not to remain in this sin. God knows your heart, so you can’t fool God! When we sin, it should bring us to our knees in prayer and remorse for our sins, because we know that it not only hurts God but us as well!

In this study, you will see what you can do to keep you out of Heaven; by your deeds or lack of them and your lack of faith in Yeshua, our Lord.

God is the only one who knows, right now, if you are saved and if you are going to Heaven someday. The information in this study is for YOU,  so you can see if you are going to Heaven, and what you need to do and not to do if you are to make it to Heaven. Nobody on this earth can tell you for sure if you are saved and Heaven-bound; only God really knows, SO, DO YOUR VERY BEST HERE AND NOW, AS THOUGH YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT, BECAUSE YOUR ETERNAL LIFE DOES DEPEND ON IT!

In this study, you will see what you need to do to make it to Heaven.

There is only one Person who can make this final judgment on you, at the White Throne Judgment, and that is Yeshua, Himself, and none other.

It really matters not what I think or say; it is totally up to Yeshua on Judgment Day, who makes the final judgment. You will either be sent to Hell for all eternity, or welcomed into Heaven for all eternity, so PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY and take it to heart. Your life may depend on it! Oh, yeah, it does, and for all eternity.

Please remember that YOU WILL LIVE FOREVER; it all depends on where YOU want to spend the rest of eternity – Heaven or Hell, so read carefully and study well. On my website, I have a page titled, “Heaven or Hell”. This describes what each is like, so the choice is yours! Life is short and Heaven is forever, so do your best now. You have until the day you die, here, and then your fate is sealed. There are three books that we need to be in: 1) the Book of Life, 2) the Lamb’s Book of Life, and 3) the Book of Deeds, if we are to enter Heaven.

Ephesians 6:11 says to “put on the whole armor of God.” Another saying that is in the Tanakh or Old Testament is this, “Be strong and courageous,” or in Hebrew “chazak v’amats” – חזק ואמץ.

Acts 16:31 31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”

Romans 10:9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

2 Chronicles 7:14 14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Mark 16:5-18 15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” [Not all of these signs will accompany those who believe, but some of these signs will accompany those who believe].

Matthew 28:18-20 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Mark 1:15 15 “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”

FOUR WAYS TO TELL (IF YOU ARE SAVED)

1 John 1:10     Admit that you are a sinner – and you are doing something about it.

1 John 2:3       Submit to the will of God – and do it (not just read, study, pray, but do)

1 John 2:6, 9   Love others – as an outward sign that you keep the great commandment and                             WALK AS JESUS WALKED!

1 John 2:15     Expectation of eternity and working toward it – work for God and not for the                            world.

WHAT WE NEED/NEED NOT TO DO TO STAY SAVED and GO TO HEAVEN

What to do:

Matthew 25:31-46

31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

John 14:15

15 “If you love me, keep my commands.

What not to do:

1 Corinthians 6:9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

Galatians 5:19-21 19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Revelation 21:8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

Romans 1:18-32 18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.

24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed, and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

THE BASICS (the beginning):

There is nothing more basic or important than for EVERYONE to believe that our Jewish Messiah, Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ), has come into this world to forgive all our sins. Please remember that Yeshua/Jesus was a Jew, from the tribe of Judah, from the lineage of King David. His message of forgiveness of sin and eternal life in Heaven is for YOU and for everyone! Your life is precious to God; that is why He sent his one and only Son, to come into this world, and give his life for all of us.

Here are some of God’s promises and prophecies about the coming of our Jewish Messiah that really say it all.

How He will come into this world and what He will be called: Isaiah 9:6 says,

For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

For what He will come and what He will have to go through for us: Isaiah 53:1-12 says,

Who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
and like a root out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
He was despised and rejected by humankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.

Surely he took up our pain
    and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted.
But he was pierced for our transgressions,
    he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to our own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
    the iniquity of us all.

He was oppressed and afflicted,
yet he did not open his mouth;
he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
so he did not open his mouth.
By oppression and judgment he was taken away.
Yet who of his generation protested?
For he was cut off from the land of the living;
for the transgression of my people he was punished.
He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
and with the rich in his death,
though he had done no violence,
nor was any deceit in his mouth.

10 Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
and though the Lord makes his life an offering for sin,
he will see his offspring and prolong his days,
and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand.
11 After he has suffered,
he will see the light of life and be satisfied;
by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many,
and he will bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore I will give him a portion among the great,
and he will divide the spoils with the strong,
because he poured out his life unto death,
and was numbered with the transgressors.
For he bore the sin of many,
and made intercession for the transgressors.

How He will come into this world: (Isaiah 7:14) (also refer to Isaiah 9:6, above)

Therefore, the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.

Immanuel in Hebrew (עמנו אל) means “God is with us”.

How long He has been in existence: (Micah 5:2)

“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
though you are small among the clans of Judah,
out of you will come for me
one who will be ruler over Israel,
whose origins are from of old,
    from ancient times.”

Yes, Yeshua was born in Bethlehem. He came from the tribe of Judah – both Mary and Joseph were from the tribe of Judah. Yeshua was conceived through the power of the Holy Spirit of God. He did rule over Israel and the whole world, because He was there when the world was created, when the foundations of the earth were laid (John1:1 and 1:14). He is eternal (from “ancient times” as it says in the Hebrew.)

If you are a Jew, as I am, there is nothing more Jewish than to believe in our Messiah, who came as a Jew, for the Jews, and for everyone! You lose none of your Jewishness, because of this! You gain it all, exactly as God planned through the prophets in the Tanakh! I suggest that you join a Messianic congregation (Jewish and Christian believers) so you can fulfill your Jewish faith! This is the way that God intended it from the beginning, that we believe in our God-given and fully Jewish Messiah, Yeshua!

If you are a Christian believer in Yeshua/Jesus, please remember that He was a Jew, He had to be, and He always kept the Law/Torah set forth by God Himself. Please remember what Yeshua/Jesus said in John 14:15, “If you love me, keep my commandments.” The law, the Torah, is simply God’s “teaching” us how to live in our world for Him and for our neighbor.

If you are a non-believer in God or Yeshua, I hope this website will help you to come to a saving belief and faith in our Messiah, Yeshua/Jesus. Your eternal soul, and where you will spend the rest of eternity, depends on what you do here and now. At the very moment of your/our death, our fate is sealed and the books are closed (The Book of Life, The Lamb’s Book of Life, and The Book of Works or Deeds). To receive Yeshua as Lord, and to forgive all your sins, just tell God that you believe in Him, that you are sorry for your sins, and ask Him to forgive you for them. Tell God that you love Him and that you will follow Him every day of your life. It’s that simple. I suggest that you get a Bible and read it from cover to cover. I suggest that you join a good Bible-teaching church (especially a Messianic congregation) and attend every chance you get . Pray daily, many times a day, telling God you love Him. Ask for forgiveness of your sins when you do sin; we all do, and we all need forgiveness. If you have any questions, or you would like me to help you with this step in your life, please call me or email (see below). I would love to talk with you about the Lord and Scripture, so please feel free to call or email; it is always a joy and never an inconvenience for me! Please remember that it’s never too late! God is always waiting for you, but do not wait. We do not know when our last day on earth will be; that is how long we all have, so don’t put it off; do it NOW!

If you haven’t read the entire Bible, the Word of God, the Old and New Testaments, by now, please do so. This will help you know who our God, our Lord, and the Holy Spirit are, and what you need to do here and now to inherit eternal life in Heaven. If you want to end up in Heaven for all eternity, this is a must read and do.

Eternal life in Heaven for YOU is the driving force behind this website. The information that I have lovingly put on this site over the years is here to help and bless you; the Holy Spirit of God has led and encouraged me to do this for YOU!

A REAL KICKER!

Not only did Yeshua fulfill hundreds of prophecies in the Tanakh/Old Testament, but He also did this:

  • He gave sight to the blind
  • He told the lame to stand and walk, and they did
  • He gave the ability speak and hear to those who could not
  • He forgave all our sins
  • He raised people from the dead
  • He rose from the dead in three days, just as He said He would
  • After He rose (resurrected), He was on earth for an additional 40 days
  • At the end of those 40 days, before over 500 people, He rose up into the sky, the clouds of Heaven
  • He said that He would return/come back as He left, from the clouds of Heaven (so don’t be fooled by any false messiah)
  • Yeshua told us that He would come as a “thief in the night” to those who do not know Him. This is why it is important to be saved and forgiven of your sins, and to be ready for his coming, or when we die. This is why it is important to know what God said, so read and study daily, and get involved in a good (Messianic) congregation, that goes out and serves those in need around them!

Once you are saved, now it is time to tell the world and help those in need! As Yeshua said, in Matthew 28:18, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.”

Don’t let Satan mess with you! He will tell you that you are too tired, too busy, not smart enough, you have to go shopping, and you have to talk to another 3000 people on facebook first, etc. Don’t buy it!!! You and I have a lot of loving and joyous work to do, so let’s do it for the Lord and our neighbor, shall we!

Please feel free to pass this on to others that you love, so they too can be with you and us in Heaven forever.

Please feel free to email or call anytime!!! I am on the East Coast, in North Carolina, so please remember the time changes. I AM HERE FOR YOU!

Be blessed as you read my dear brother or sister in Yeshua!

AS YOU READ THIS SITE, PLEASE REMEMBER THAT IT IS THE WORD OF GOD THAT IS IMPORTANT, AND NOT THE word of man!
