WHAT DID JESUS DO:
abbreviated version.
This page is designed to be a reminder for you, so you can keep a running inventory of your life and how close to the image of God and Jesus you are. I wrote this page so we could see, using the Word of God, what Jesus did and what we should do to live as He did! It doesn’t mean that you sin for every line not fulfilled; it is meant to be a helpful and loving reminder of how Jesus lived. He sure is my MODEL! I hope He is yours!
THE BOOK OF MATTHEW

JESUS
3:16 Jesus was baptized.

He fasted for 40 days and 40 nights.
4:4 Live by every word that comes from the mouth of God.
4:7 Don’t put the Lord, your God, to the test.
4:10 Get thee behind me Satan.
The Lord your God you shall worship and Him alone shall you serve.
4:17 Repent.
4:19 Come after me and I will make you fishers of men.
4:23 Teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the gospel of the Kingdom.
Curing every disease among the people
5:3 Be poor in spirit.
Mourn and be comforted, be meek, be righteous, show mercy, be clean of heart, spread peace, be persecuted for the sake of the righteous. Rejoice and be glad when you are persecuted because of what you do for Jesus.
5:14 Be a light to the world. Show your good deeds.
5:17 I HAVE COME NOT TO ABOLISH BUT TO FULFILL. AMEN, I SAY TO YOU, UNTIL HEAVEN AND EARTH PASS AWAY, NOT THE SMALLEST LETTER OR THE SMALLEST PART OF A LETTER WILL PASS FROM THE LAW, UNTIL ALL THINGS HAVE TAKEN PLACE. Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do so will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever obeys and teaches these commandments will be called greatest in the kingdom of heaven. I tell you unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and the Pharisees, you will not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
5:22 Do not be angry.
5:27 Do not look at a woman in lust.
5:31 Do not divorce unless your spouse is unfaithful to you.
5:33 Do not take a false oath. Do not swear. Let your yes be yes and your no, no.
5:38 Do not retaliate. Turn the other cheek.
Do not turn your back to those in need. Give to the needy.
5:43 Love your enemy and pray for them.
5:48 Be perfect just as your Father is perfect (and loves all).
6:1 Don’t do good deeds that others may see them. Give alms.
6:5 Pray in private, not to show off. Pray to the Father in Heaven.
6:14 Forgive others everything or God will not forgive you.
6:19 Do not store up your treasures on earth, but in Heaven.
6:25 Do not worry about things.
7:1 Do not judge others.
7:7 Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find (in faith).
7:12 Do to others as you would have them do to you.
7:15 Don’t believe in false prophets.
7:21 Do not only say Lord, Lord. DO THE WILL OF THE FATHER and enter Heaven.
8:1 Jesus healed.
8:10 Jesus taught that FAITH is the key.
8:16 Jesus drove out spirits and demons.
8:21 Ministered to others. “Follow me.”
8:23 Jesus calmed the storm.
9:2 Jesus forgave sins and healed (authority given to Him by God.)
9:11 Jesus ate with tax collectors and sinners.
9:13 I desire mercy, not sacrifice.
9:17 Put new wine into new wineskins.
9:22 YOUR FAITH HAS SAVED YOU.
9:29 Let it be done for you according to your faith.
9:37 THE HARVEST IS ABUNDANT BUT THE LABORERS ARE FEW; SO ASK THE MASTER OF THE HARVEST TO SEND OUT LABORERS FOR HIS HARVEST.
10:1 Jesus gave the disciples the power to heal and drive out demons.
10:5 Do not go into pagan territory or enter a Samaritan town. Go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel…and say the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.
10:12 As you enter a house, wish it peace. If the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it; if not, let your peace return to you…shake the dust from your feet and leave.
10:17 But beware of people, for they will hand you over to courts and scourge you in their synagogues… at that moment, do not worry about how you are to speak or what you are to say…for it will not be you who speak but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
10:22 You will be hated by all because of my name, but whoever endures to the end will be saved.
10:32 Everyone who acknowledges me before others I will acknowledge before my heavenly Father, but whoever denies me before others, I will deny before my heavenly Father.
Luke 11:23 Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.
10:34 I have come to bring not peace but the sword.
10:37 Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me.
10:38 Whoever does not take up his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
11:7 (Speaking about John the Baptist)… Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet. This is the one about whom it is written: Behold, I am sending my messenger ahead of you; he will prepare your way before you. 10:14 And if you are willing to accept it, he is Elijah, the one who is to come…
11:28 Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest….for my yoke is easy, and my burden light.
12:9 It is okay to heal, save, and feed those in need on the Sabbath.
11:25 No house divided against itself will stand.
12:31 Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.
12:33 You will know a good tree by its good fruits.
12:40 The Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth for 3 days and nights.
12:50 Whoever does the will of my heavenly Father is my brother, and sister, and mother.
13:1 Parable of the Sower: the Word of God affects people differently. Some believe and are fruitful, and some do not (or believe to some degree or other).
13:12 To anyone who has (the Word of God) more will be given and he will grow rich. Some will hear and understand and some not.
The Word can be heard and not understood.
The Word can be received with great joy for a time; trials and tribulation cause some to reject it.
Worldly riches and anxiety can cause some not to bear fruit.
Some hear and understand and bear fruit 30, 60 or 100 fold.
13:24 Parable of the Weeds: weeds are sinners. At Judgment Day, the weeds and the wheat (saved by God to do good and be fruitful) will be gathered. The weeds will be gathered and burned (hell) and the fruitful will be gathered into God’s barn (heaven).
13:31 Mustard Seed faith: God asks us to have just a little faith, and it grows large in God, as the mustard seed does (one of the smallest seeds).
13:57 Jesus spoke in his own native land to his people in his immediate area.
14:17 Jesus feeds the 5,000. Jesus blessed and multiplied the food.
14:22 Jesus walks on water, and Peter does but sinks because of little faith, and He calms the storm.
15:10 It is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a man, but what comes out of the mouth.
15:21 Be persistent in your faith.
16:5 Beware of the Leaven.. or sin.
16:16 Peter said, “You are the Son of the Living God.” Jesus said, “Blessed are you, Simon, son of Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Heavenly Father.”
16:19 Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
16:21 From that time on, Jesus began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer greatly from the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed and on the third day be raised. (Also 17:22.)
16:24 Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross and follow me.
16:27 For the Son of Man will come with His angels in His Father’s glory, and then He will repay everyone according to his conduct. Amen, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.
17:3 Moses and Elijah appear to Jesus and the disciples.
17:20 The disciples couldn’t heal because of little faith.
18:4 Whoever humbles himself like this child is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.
18:14 In just the same way, it is not the will of your Heavenly Father that one of these little ones be lost.
18:15 If a brother sins against you: tell him his fault, you and him alone. If he does not listen, take one or two and talk to him. Take testimony of 2 or 3. If he refuses, tell the church. Then, treat him like gentile or tax collector.
18:19 Again amen I say to you, if two or more of you agree on earth about for which they are to pray, it shall be granted to them by my Heavenly Father.
18:21 Forgive 70 x 7. Forgive others their dept and God will forgive you yours. Forgive or God will hold you accountable.
19:1 Marriage: divorce is forbidden except if marriage is unlawful (if one partner is unfaithful to the other.) About not marrying (disciples asked) Not all can accept this word, but only those to whom that is granted.
19:14 Let the children come to me, and do not prevent them; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.
19:17 If you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments…You shall not kill; you shall not commit adultery; you shall not steal; you shall not bear false witness; honor your father and your mother; and you shall love your neighbor as yourself.,, go sell all you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me. For human beings this is impossible, but for God, all things are possible.
19:29 And everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or land for the sake of my name will receive a hundred times more, and will inherit eternal life. Many who are first will be last, and the last will be first.
20:26 Whoever wishes to be great among you shall be your servant.
21:13 My house shall be a house of prayer, but you are making it a den of thieves.
21:20 Whatever you ask for in prayer with faith, you will receive.
21:28 Two sons were told to work in the vineyard. The first refused but later went. The second said that he would but didn’t. Jesus said that it was better for the first son to do as he did.
21:42 “The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; by the Lord has this been done, and it is wonderful in our eyes.” “Therefore, I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people that will produce its fruit.”
22:14 “Many are invited but few are chosen.”
22:30 “At the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage but are like the angels in heaven.”
22:36 The greatest commandment: Jesus said, “You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second is like it; you shall love your neighbor as yourself. The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”
23:9 “Call no one on earth your father; you have but one Father in heaven…Whoever exalts himself will be humbled; but whoever humbles himself will be exalted.”
23:23 The weightier things of the law: judgment and mercy and fidelity.
23:26 “You cleanse the outside of cup and dish, but inside are full of plunder and self-indulgence…hypocrisy and evil doing.”
23:37 “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how many times I yearned to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her young under her wings, but you were unwilling! Behold, your house will be abandoned and desolate. I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.”
24:2 “You see all these things, do you not? Amen, I say to you, there will not be left here a stone upon another stone that will not be thrown down.”
24:13 , “But the one who perseveres to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the world as a witness to all nations, and then the end will come.”
25:13 “Amen, I say to you, I do not know you.” Therefore, stay awake, for you know neither the day not the hour.”
25:20 “Well done, my good and faithful servant. Since you were faithful in small matters, I will give you great responsibilities.” “To everyone who has, more will be given and he will grow rich.”
25:40 “Whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.”
26:17 Jesus kept the Passover with the disciples.
26:26 Jesus took bread and wine, said the blessing, broke it and gave it to his disciples. Jesus said, “Take and eat; this is my body. Drink form it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed on behalf of you, for the forgiveness of sins. “
26:36 Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane while the disciples slept. Jesus said, “Remain and keep watch with me.”
26:52 “All who take the sword will perish by the sword.”
26:61 “I can destroy the temple of God and within three days rebuild it.” When Jesus was asked if He was the Messiah, Jesus said, “You have said so. But I tell you: from now on you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power and coming on the clouds of heaven.”
27:11 The governor asked if Jesus was the King of the Jews, and Jesus said, “You say so.”
27:15 The governor asked the chief priests and the elders who they wanted turned over to them for he knew that it was out of envy that they had handed Jesus over to him. They asked for Barabbas to be freed. The governor asked what the Jews wanted him to do with Jesus and they said, “Crucify Him!” A riot was breaking out so Pilate took water and washed his hands of the matter. He made the crowd be responsible for Jesus’ death by saying, “Look to it yourselves,” and the crowd said in reply,
“ His blood be upon us and upon our children.”
Then the governor gave Jesus over to be scourged and crucified.
27:40 The crowd of Jews said that if Jesus would come down from the cross they would believe that He was King of the Jews (He came back from the dead in three days as He said, but they would not believe.)
27:51 After Jesus was crucified the veil of the sanctuary was torn in two (the veil was only allowed to be entered by the great high priest, and now all could enter in before God as a result of Jesus dying on the cross, giving them direct access to God in prayer and asking forgiveness.) The earth quaked, rocks were split, tombs were opened, and the bodies of many saints who had fallen asleep (died) were raised (from the dead). And coming forth from their tombs after His resurrection, they entered the holy city and appeared to many.
28:18 “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always until the end of the age.”
THE BOOK OF MARK
1:11 God said, after John the Baptist baptized Jesus in the Jordan River, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” And the Holy Spirit of God came down upon Jesus. The Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert for 40 days to be tempted by Satan.
1:14 Jesus proclaimed the Gospel, saying, “This is the time of fulfillment. The kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe in the gospel.”
1:17 “Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
1:25 Jesus was teaching in the synagogue with much authority and drove demons out of a man saying, “Quiet, come out of him!” And it did.
1:38 Jesus went into the nearby villages, into their synagogues, and preached, saying, “For this purpose I have come.”
2:5 When He saw their faith, Jesus said, “Child, your sins are forgiven.”
2:7 The scribes said, “Why does this man speak that way? He is blaspheming. Who but God alone can forgive sins?”
2:11 Jesus told the paralytic that his sins were forgiven and Jesus said, “I say to you rise, pick up your mat, and go home.”
2:17 Jesus ate with tax collectors and sinners and Jesus said, “Those who are well do not need a physician, but the sick do. I did not come to call the righteous but sinners.”
2:19 Fasting: Jesus said, “But the days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast on that day.”
2:22 “No one pours new wine in old wineskins.”
2:27 “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.” 3:23 “How can Satan drive out Satan?” “A kingdom divided against itself cannot stand.”
3:29 “Amen, I say to you, all sins and all blasphemies that people utter will be forgiven them, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never have forgiveness, but is guilty of an everlasting sin, for they have an unclean spirit.”
3:35 “Whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother.”
4:15 The SOWER:
The seed is the Word of God. As soon as the Word is given, Satan comes and takes it away. Some hear the Word and receive it with great joy, but they have no root and it only lasts for a time. Trial and tribulation come and they fall away. Some hear the Word and riches and anxiety causes them to fall away and bear no fruit. Some hear the Word and bear fruit 60 and 100-fold.
4:25 “To the one who has, more will be given; from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.”
4:30 Faith is like a mustard seed. It starts very small and grows into something very large and great. Faith is the unifying force that binds us to God. Jesus said, “Why are you terrified (of the storm)? Do you not have faith?”
5:34 , “Daughter, your faith has saved you. Go in peace and be cured of your affliction.”
5:39 “Do not be afraid, just have faith.”
6:5 Jesus laid hands on people and cured them of their illnesses.
6:11 “Whatever place does not welcome you or listen to you, leave there and shake the dust off your feet in testimony against them.” They went off and preached repentance.
6:38 Jesus feeds the 5,000 with 5 loaves and 2 fish. (Jesus supplies our physical needs as well as our spiritual needs.)
7:6 Concerning washing of hands before meals, Jesus said, “This people honors me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me; in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines human precepts. You disregard God’s commandment but cling to human tradition.”
7:15 “Nothing that enters one from outside can defile that person; but the things that come out from within are what defile.”
7:37 Jesus heals the deaf and the mute (Isaiah 53 prophecy fulfilled).
8:38 “Whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this faithless and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”
9:1 “Amen, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see that the Kingdom of God has come in power.”
9:2 TRANSFIGURATION: Elijah and Moses appeared with Jesus and Peter. (There is life after death for us all.)
9:23 “If you can! Everything is possible to one who has faith.”
9:28 The disciples asked Jesus why they couldn’t cure some people. Jesus said, “This kind can only come out through prayer.”
9:30 Jesus tells the disciples that He will be turned over to the rulers to be killed and that He will rise again in 3 days.
9:35 “If anyone wishes to be first, he shall be the last of all and the servant of all.”
9:37 “Whoever receives one child such as this in my name, receives me; and whoever receives me, receives not me but the One who sent me.”
9:40 “Whoever is not against us is for us.”
9:49 “Everyone will be salted with fire. Salt is good, but if salt becomes insipid, with what will you restore its flavor? Keep salt in yourselves and you will have peace with one another.”
10:1 Marry once and do not divorce. Anyone who marries again is adulterous.
10:15 “Whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it.”
10:21 “Go, sell what you have, and give to the poor and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.” “How hard it is for those who have wealth to enter the Kingdom of God.” “It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle…”
10:24 The disciples asked Jesus, who can be saved then? Jesus said, “For human beings it is impossible, but not for God. All things are possible for God.”
10:33 “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priest and scribes, and they will condemn him to death and hand him over to the Gentiles, who will mock him, spit upon him, scourge him, and put him to death, but after three days he will rise.”
10:45 “For the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
10:51 The blind man told Jesus that he wanted to see. Jesus said, “Go your way; your faith has saved you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed him on the way.
11:15 “My house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples. But you have made it a den of thieves.”
11:24 “Therefore I tell you. All that you ask for in prayer believe that you will receive it and it shall be yours. When you stand to pray, forgive anyone against whom you have a grievance, so that your Heavenly Father may in turn forgive you your transgressions.”
12:10 The parable of the vineyard: The workers (Jews) reject and kill the son of the owner (Jesus). “The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; by the Lord has this been done, and it is wonderful in our eyes.”
12:25 Concerning marriage after death: Jesus said, “When they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but they are like the angels in heaven.” Moses said about God, “He is not God of the dead but of the living. You are greatly misled.”
12:28 About the GREATEST COMMANDMENT: Jesus said, “Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is Lord alone! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. The second is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.” It is worth more than all burnt offerings and sacrifice.
12:38 Jesus said not to be showy in your prayer and service to God.
12:44 “For they have all contributed from their surplus wealth, but she, from her poverty, has contributed all she had…”
13:1 Jesus foretells the destruction of the temple.
13:3 Jesus tells of beginnings of end times; war, earthquake, false Messiahs.
13:9 “They will hand you over to the courts. You will be beaten in synagogues…but the one who perseveres to the end will be saved.”
13:19 There will be great tribulation, even for the elect. Jesus said, “False messiahs and false prophets will arise and will perform signs and wonders in order to mislead, if that were possible, the elect.”
13:24 “But in those days, after the tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will be falling from the sky, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. And they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds…”
13:32 “But of what day or hour, no one knows, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” May he not come and find you sleeping. Jesus said, “Watch!”
14:22 Jesus keeps the Passover, the feast of unleavened bread, with the disciples. The giving of the body and blood (wine and matzah or unleavened bread) was the origination of communion that we celebrate in church. Jesus said, “Take it: this is my body…this is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed for many.”
14:61 The high priest asks Jesus if He is the Messiah, and Jesus said, “I am; and “you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of the Power and coming with the clouds of heaven.”
15:9 Pilate answers the chief priests, “Do you want me to release to you the king of the Jews?” For he knew that it was out of envy that the chief priests had handed him over. “Then what do you want me to do with the king of the Jews?” The chief priests again shouted, “CRUCIFY HIM!”
15:34 “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?”
16:7 The angel is sitting in the tomb, after rolling the rock away from the tomb’s entrance and says, “He is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him, as he told you.”
16:16 Jesus said to the apostles after rising from the dead, “Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature.”
When Jesus was asked how to be saved, Jesus said,
“Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved;
Whoever does not believe will be condemned. They will lay hands on the sick and recover.”

6:41 Jesus said, “Why do you notice the splinter in your brother’s eye, but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own?”
6:46 “Why do you call me Lord, Lord but not do what I command?” Jesus expects us to listen to Him and DO as He did or we will be completely destroyed like a house on a week foundation when the storm comes.
7:29 BAPTISM!: ALL THE PEOPLE WHO LISTENED, INCLUDING THE TAX COLLECTORS, AND WHO WERE BAPTIZED WITH THE BAPTISM OF John, acknowledged the righteousness of God; but the Pharisees and scholars of the law, who were not baptized by him rejected the plan of God for themselves.

9:30 Two men (Moses and Elijah) appear to Jesus and the disciples. This is proof that there is life after death.
10:1 Jesus appoints 72 other men to go ahead of Him in pairs and proclaim the Gospel to many towns where He was going to go to. We are like these 72. Not only apostles were to do Jesus’ work, but us. Jesus said, “Cure the sick in it and say to them, “The kingdom of God is at hand for you.”
10:15 Jesus tells; those who reject the 72 reject Him and that they will go down to the netherworld for their unfaithfulness.
10:19 Jesus says to the 72, “Behold, I have given you the power to tread upon serpents and scorpions and upon the full force of the enemy and nothing will harm you.”
10:36 Treat everyone like your neighbor and help them, giving them mercy.
10:38 (Mary and Martha). Jesus tells Martha to listen to Him and not to worry about getting something for Him.
11:1 Jesus tells the disciples how to pray saying, “Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread and forgive us our sins for we ourselves forgive everyone in debt to us, and do not subject us to the final test.”
11:8 Jesus said to be persistent in your prayers, even when they seem not to be answered at first.
11:9 “Ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
11:24 When we drive out demons from ourselves and try to make ourselves clean, Satan will try even harder to take us over when he returns to us, but Jesus will still reign and rule over Satan if we pray and ask for His power, since we have the Holy Spirit of God in us to fight our battles for and with us.
11:43 “Woe to you Pharisees! You love the seat of honor in synagogues and greetings in marketplaces. Woe to you! You are like unseen graves over which people unknowingly walk.”
11:49 “I will send to them prophets and apostles; in order that this generation might be charged with the blood of all the prophets shed since the foundation of the world…”
12:8 “I tell you, everyone who acknowledges me before others the Son of Man will acknowledge before the angels of God, but whoever denies me before others will be denied before the angels of God.”
12:15 “Take care to guard against all greed, for though one may be rich, one’s life does not consist of possessions.”
12:25 “Can any of you by worrying add a moment to your life-span? If even the smallest things are beyond your control, why are you anxious about the rest?”
12:31 “Instead, seek His kingdom, and these other things will be given you besides…Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” (Material goods and money that we need to survive.)
12:57 Jesus tells us to settle matters out of court if at all possible.
13:5 “But I tell you, if you do not repent, you will all perish …”
13:24 Jesus said, after being asked if only a few will be saved, “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I tell you, will attempt to enter but will not be strong enough.” (We must do as Jesus said and did to be saved.)
14:11 “For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who bumbles himself will be exalted.”
14:13 “Rather, when you hold a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind; blessed indeed will you be because of their inability to repay you, for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”
(Jesus was also talking about the Jews when He said that those who were invited to God’s banquet had other plans so they didn’t accept God’s offer of Heaven and forgiveness, so God opened it up to the gentiles.)
15:7 “There will be more joy in Heaven over the sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance.”
16:31 Abraham (who was in Heaven; the rich man from hell looks up and sees Abraham in Heaven and) said, “If they will not listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if someone should rise from the dead.”
(Abraham is talking about a vision of hell and the rich men who are there. Those in hell are trying to convince Abraham to let them come out of hell and warn their brothers and family. Moses is talking about Jesus who comes back from the dead and they, the Jews, will reject Him also!)
17:4 “If he wrongs you seven times in one day and returns to you seven times saying, “I am sorry, you should forgive him.”
17:18 “Has none but this foreigner returned to give thanks to God?”
1720 “The coming of the kingdom of God cannot be observed …for behold, the kingdom of God is among you.”
17:32 When Jesus returns, some will be taken and some not (rapture).
18:15 Jesus touches babes or infants and Jesus said, “Let the children come to me and do not prevent them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”
18:22 “Sell all that you have and distribute it to the poor, and you will have a treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
18:39 The Pharisees told Jesus to tell the disciples to stop praising Jesus for what He had done and Jesus said, “I tell you, if they keep silent, the stones will cry out!”
20:46 “Be on guard against the scribes, who like to go around in long robes and love greetings in marketplaces, seats of honor in synagogues, and places of honor at banquets. They devour the houses of widows and, as a pretext, recite lengthy prayers. They will receive a very severe condemnation.”
21:14 Talking about the end times and signs in the sky, He says that we will be handed over to authorities for speaking in synagogues and elsewhere. Jesus said, “It will lead to your giving testimony. Remember, you are not to prepare your defense beforehand, for I myself shall give you a wisdom in speaking that all your adversaries will be powerless to resist or refute.”
20:67 When asked if Jesus was the Messiah, Jesus said, “If I tell you, you will not believe, and if I question you will not respond.”
23:43 Jesus said to the thief on the cross who believed that He was the Son of God, “Amen, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”
24:25 Jesus comes back from the dead and walked with the apostles but they did not recognize Him until He eats with them and says the blessing over the bread. They didn’t believe that it is He at first even though Jesus said that He would return in 3 days before He was crucified.
25:46 “Thus it is written that the Messiah would suffer and rise from the dead on the third day and that repentance, for the forgiveness of sins, would be preached in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.”
25:50 Then He led them as far as Bethany, raised Hi s hands, and blessed them. As He blessed them He parted from them and was taken up to heaven.
THE BOOK OF JOHN
1:1 In the beginning was the Word (Jesus) and the Word was with God and the Word was God!” This verse refers to Jesus, who is God in the flesh, explained further on in this chapter. (Everything was created through Jesus. Jesus is called “Ancient of Days” in Daniel 9. He has always been, even before the creation of the world! Any time God was with man and was in human form, this was Jesus before He came to be with us as the promised Messiah.
1:29 John says, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.” The holy Spirit of God, in the form of a dove, comes down and remains upon Jesus after He was baptized and God says, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”
2:1 Jesus turns water into wine as requested by His mother, even though He did not want to at first. (It is not wrong to drink wine, but it is not right to get drunk.)
2:16 “…stop making my Father’s house a marketplace.”
3:3 Jesus said, “Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can see the Kingdom of God without being born from above.” BORN AGAIN! of water and Spirit.
3:15 Jesus said, “…so that everyone who believes in Him (Jesus) has eternal life.”
3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting live.”
3:20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come toward the light, so that his works might not be exposed.
4:22 “Salvation is from the Jews.” (This is why God sent Jesus.)
4:25 The Samaritan woman at the well said to Jesus that the Anointed One (the Messiah) is coming, and Jesus said, “I am He.”
4:36 “The reaper is already receiving his payment and gathering crops for eternal life, so that the sower and reaper can rejoice together.”
5:14 Jesus heals a lame man and Jesus said, “Look, you are well; do not sin any more, so that nothing worse may happen to you.”
5:28 “The hour is coming in which all who are in the tombs will hear his voice, and will come out, those who have done good deeds to the resurrection of life, but those who have done wicked deeds to the resurrection of condemnation.”
5:39 “You search the scriptures, because you think you have eternal life through them; even they testify on my behalf, but you do not want to come to me to have life.”
6:27 “Do not work for food that perishes, but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you.”
6:35 “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst.”
6:44 “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draw him.”
6:53 “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man, and drink His blood, you do not have life within you.”
7:42 Does not scripture say that the Messiah will be of David’s family and come from Bethlehem, the village where David lived?”
8:7 FORGIVENESS: Jesus said, “Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone eat her…neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more.”
8:19 “If you knew me you would know my Father also.”
8:24 Jesus said, “For if you do not believe that I AM, you will die in your sins.” (This is the same name that God told Moses on Mt. Sinai.)
8:31 “If you remain in my word, you will truly be my disciples and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
8:42 “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and am here.”
9:1 Concerning sin and afflicted people: Jesus was asked why this man was blind. Was it because of his sin or the sin of his parents? Jesus said, “Neither he nor his parents sinned: it is so that the works of God might be made visible though him.”
9:22 The Jews had already agreed that if anyone acknowledged Jesus as he Messiah, he would be expelled from the synagogue.
10:10 “I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd. A good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.”
10:27 Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish. No one can take them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one can take them out of the Father’s hand.
THE FATHER AND I ARE ONE.”

12:32 “And when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw everyone to myself.”
12:40 God said, through the prophet Isaiah, “He blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, so that they might not see with their eyes and understand with their heart and be converted, and I would heal them.” God has a purpose and a time in mind when all Jews will come to Him and believe in the Messiah. HAS IT COME FOR YOU YET? IT HAS FOR MANY JEWS AND ME. We have not converted to another religion but to God’s Messiah, Yeshua.
12:43 …for they (the Pharisees) preferred human praise to the glory of God.
13:15 Jesus washes the feet of the disciples in humility and servitude for He came to serve man not be served by man, and Jesus said, “I have given you a model to follow so that as I have done for you, you should also do.”
13:34 “I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another. This is how all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
14:2 “In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am you also many be.”
14:12 “Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these, because I am going to the Father. And whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it.”
14:15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you always, the Spirit of truth, which the world cannot accept, because it neither sees nor knows it, because it remains with you, and will be in you. 14:24 Whoever does not love me does not keep my words; yet the word you hear is not mine but that of the Father who sent me.””

Psalm 16:10 says that He will live eternally at the right hand of God.
Hosea 6:2 says that He will be raised on the third day. (Messianic prophecy).
After Jesus’ death, He appeared to over 500 people in the course of 40 days at 11 different times, proving that He was indeed God, who came to conquer death and sin for us all who believe in Him.
JESUS CAME BACK FROM THE DEAD, AS HE SAID HE WOULD!
20:23 “Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained.”
20:28 Jesus shows Thomas the nail prints in His hands and feet and the wound in His side and Thomas said, “My Lord and my God.”
